On Oct. 21st, you are invited to pick up a shoe box to fill for this year’s Operation Christmas Child. This is a great program that we’ve done for many years now, but if you are new to OPC, you can learn more about it when you visit Samaritan’s Purse.
There, you’ll get great information on how to pack your box, gift suggestions, and you can even print out tracking tickets for your shoeboxes.
25 Years of Operation Christmas Child!
This is the 25th year for OPC so let’s make it one to remember. Here’s a short video on how this program is transforming lives not just for this world, but for the world to come:
How To Pack Your Box:
Decide if you’ll be purchasing gifts for a boy or a girl. Then choose an age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-15. Samaritan’s Purse recommends including one medium to large-sized “wow” item such as an inflatable soccer ball and pump or a doll/stuffed animal and then filling the rest of the box with smaller items like crayons, school supplies, and hygiene items.
When you’ve got everything packed, just return your box to church with money for shipping and we’ll be sure to get it sent out.
If you didn’t get time to fill your shoebox, no problem. Our youth will spend some time during their group meetings on Sunday, November 4th to fill any boxes that need it.
Boxes must be returned by November 11th!
